BOSCH CCS800 dicussion system installed for District Council.

The Ukhahlamba District Municipality, with its headquarters in Barkly East, have just taken occupation of their new premises. Originally the town hotel, the building has been extended to include offices and a new Council Chamber.
Avitech Systems was contracted to install a BOSCH CCS800 Ultro discussion system in the chamber to provide sound reinforcement and recording of the proceedings. The Ultro version of the CCS800 used includes DAFS - Digital Acoustic Feedback Suppression - to ensure feedback does not disturb the proceedings even when volume levels are turned up.
In line with the current trend of ‘doing things digitally', Project Technician Lappies Labuscagnie specified a solid state recording device. The OLYMPUS digital recorder provided will allow Council officials to record meetings onto a XD memory card and download the recordings to a PC. With the supplied transcription kit, the typist can use the PC as a playback machine, and type the minutes, while controlling playback with a footswitch.
Ukhahlamba Municipality joins the growing ranks of councils who have installed CCS800 discussion systems at their facilities. We are proud to have also assisted the Amatole, Engcobo, Peddie, Kouga, Bitou, Knysna, and George municipalities with audiovisual solutions in their council chambers.
