ADDING ATMOSPHERE WITH BOSE
Adding to the atmosphere is music from a BOSE sound system installed by our Western Cape partners Audiotech Cape. The CTFM group is particular about maintaining their image and opted for a BOSE sound system using surface mounted BOSE 251 loudspeakers. The BOSE 251 loudspeaker is ideal for use in restaurant and retail applications, having a wide dispersion pattern, and warm full range frequency response. The patented Acoustimass multi-chamber bass enclosure delivers full, deep bass wit
hout audible distortion.
The BOSE 251 loudspeakers are also installed on the restaurant's outdoor balcony. Like all BOSE "Install Anywhere" loudspeakers, they are built to be more that a match for the weather, and are able to withstand snow, rain, salt and temperature extremes.
THE DIGITAL ADVANTAGE
Back inside the restaurant, a RANE digital signal processor (DSP) provides several zones of individual volume control, as well as automatically correcting the varying levels between tracks on the satellite music feed. Using a DSP as the heart of the music system has opened up a wealth of control possibilities - already implemented are screen based music volume controls accessible from any PC on the POS network. Future enhancements could include automatic volume presets for the start of day, and wireless remote volume controls.
